Scheme of Examination and Promotion For Classes VI to X (Examination
Specifications)
- The academic sessions shall be divided into 2 terms.
- Each term will have 2 Formative Assessments (FA) and 1 Summative Assessment (SA).
- The total weightage assigned to Four Formative Assessment is 40%
- The total weightage assigned to Two Summative Assessment (SA1 & SA2) is 60%
For Classes XI (Examination specification) There are three terminal
Examinations conducted throughout the session. For Classes XII (Examination
Specification) There are two terminal Examinations & two Pre-Board Examinations.
Promotion policy The qualifying mark in each subject is 33%
for all classes. 1. For XI and XII: A candidate getting less than the stipulated
33% in any of the two subjects shall be placed in compartment. If there are more
than two subjects with less than 33% marks, the candidate will be denied promotion.
2. For classes VI to X, students scoring Grade E and below will not be promoted
to the next class. 3. For classes I to V there is no detention policy, the
school reserves right to deny promotion to certain candidate in extreme cases.
